Biography

As an original member of the world famous girl singing group Destiny’s Child, LeToya Luckett has ventured into a successful career as a solo artist and actress. Her self-titled platinum debut album LeToya featured the #1 hit song “Torn” and she was named “One of the Best New Artists of 2006” by AOL Music and awarded a “Top Songwriter of 2006” honor by ASCAP. Her 2009 collection, Lady Love, debuted as the #1 album on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart and featured the Top 10 single “Regret” with Ludacris.

Luckett’s film career includes a starring role in PREACHER’S KID, and a supporting role in the romantic comedy KILLERS, starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. Luckett also enjoyed a recurring role on the HBO TV series ‘TREME from 2011-2012. A Houston native, Luckett made her foray into television as the host of BET Centric’s show CULTURELIST, along with a role on VH1’s hit series SINGLE LADIES.

Luckett’s upcoming album, titled “Until Then,” debuts nationwide in 2014.
